It is the fourth year Ropardo SRL commits to being one the main sponsors for the ICDD contest – Imagination – Creativity – Design – Development.

Every year the Faculty of Sciences within Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu organizes ICDD contest addressed to bachelor and master level students all over the world. They are encouraged to present their research in informatics and related fields with application in the real world and debate on their results.

20 projects were presented this year in one of the official languages, English or French, each one of around 15 minutes, being debated afterwards at a round table. The contest suggested over 25 topics of interest for them, such as Algorithms and Data Structures, Modeling and Simulation, Computer Vision, Game Design, Artificial Intelligence, Mobile Operating Systems, Bioinformatics, Robotics, Multimedia Systems, Internet Communication and Technologies and so on, but any other topic of their own was also welcomed. The papers presented were reviewed by two independent reviewers and subsequently published in a proceedings volume with ISSN.

Ropardo awarded all participants with specific packs and sponsored one of the main prizes. Beside being a sponsor Ropardo also had the pleasure to introduce our Training Academy project which is addressed to students in their final years of study. The project is designed to enrich and consolidate the knowledge accumulated during university classes with notions and abilities actually required when working in the software industry.
