16.05.2007 The Java application BluetoothPCRemote has received the Excellence award at Alba Iulia

The software application BluetoothPCRemote has received the Excellence Award at the national student projects contest organized by the University 1 decembrie 1918 from Alba Iulia. The national symposium took place between April 20 and 21 and is at its third edition.

The authors of the application are Laurentiu Ciovica and Eugen Cojocaru, second year students at the Faculty of Science within the Lucian Blaga University Sibiu and junior Java developers in the Wittmann&Partner team. They were guided in this initiative by Gabriel Sofonea.

BluetoothPC Remote insures the control of the PC via mobile devices
BluetoothPCRemote aims to insure the control of any Bluetooth compatible PC via mobile devices. In its present version, the application allows replicating from the mobile device all mouse functionalities, plus setting several shortcut keys.

For instance, by using BluetoothPCRemote you can make a presentation without being glued to the PC you move closer to the audience and around the room, controlling the succesion of the slides with the help of a mobile device.

How was BluetoothPCRemote developed
BluetoothPCRemote is a software application based on J2ME and J2SE developed by Laurenţiu Ciovică and Eugen Cojocaru, second year students at the Faculty of Science within the Lucian Blaga University Sibiu and junior Java developers in the Wittmann&Partner team.

Our colleagues aim to transform the BluetoothPCRemote in a best selling software product. The team has invested 4 man months in this project, from november 2006.
