We Are Starting the Sibiu Web Meetup Series

We have started a series of meetups for anyone sharing an interest in web development, web design and all other web related topics, the first of the kind in our city.

Sibiu Web Meetup is born from the idea of knowledge exchange and community building. All skill levels are welcome: students, junior and senior developers, or web passionates.

The first event of the Sibiu Web Meetup series is taking place on November 23, 2018 at the Faculty of Sciences.

The topics for Sibiu Web Meetup #1 are:

  • 1. The WEB: will happen, happening, happened
  • ???? The WEB is referred to as the most accessible and popular development paltform. We will explore why and especially what more is out there in the future.
  • ????️ Peter-Jakob Cosoroabă
  •
  • 2. const transformJavaScript = (????) => ????;
  • ???? We’ll talk about how JavaScript evolved through the latest specifications and explore several major features introduced in the past years. This presentation is aimed towards beginner developers that understand basic JavaScript and want to delve into more complex features, or veteran developers that are not up-to-date with the latest JavaScript offerings
  • ????️ Cosmin Stamate
  •
  • 3. OWASP for dummies
  • ???? We are digging into the inner workings of the most common 3 OWASP web vulnerabilities. We are going to see attack vectors such as XSS, exploiting components with known vulnerabilities and silly security misconfigurations.
  • ????️ Lucian Petri
  •
  • 4. QA and free talks

Since it is a free meetup, with limited seats, we warmly recommend to grab your free seat as soon as possible.

Sibiu Web Meetup series are intended to take place every two months. To find out first about upcoming meetups, follow Ropardo Software Engineering Facebook page.
